Now that everyone should have received the latest issue of KB, I would welcome any comment, question, criticism,... about the articles on the factories. On my side, I have to congratulate and thank all those who made the rest of the job: translation, layout, drawings, everything was done first class.

I don't seek cheap congratulations here, I would like to know if such a specialized topic meets the interest of the readers, or if it's really too far from the passion for the cars themselves, so if you don't like or don't care feel free to say it as well.

And if you have doubts or questions left, I can try to answer as well: did the contents surprise you, is the picture of the wartime situation clear with that,...?

Until now my knowledge of the Alfa Romeo history was just a collection of loose bits and pieces. Your article is a great help to put a lot of it together and, as a result, understand what makes 'our' brand so very special. For most of us Alfa Romeo is not just a hobby, but a real passion. When you know more about its history, and understand that Alfa Romeo's survival could never be taken for granted, the passion can only grow.

So the article was very very welcome and a great pleasure to read. Thank you, Patrick!

ik zweer bij mijn alfa, ik heb met genot het klaverblaadje gelezen
en ik vind het toch wel een goed gevoel om van het een en ander lid te zijn, alfa club/artc155, ik wil niet zeggen je heb ze nodig, maar voor mijn gevoel vind ik zeker het artc155 een ONWIJZE sosiale club vergeet niet dat er wel van alles en nog wat georganiseerd wordt door div clubs waar een ieder profijt van heeft, en dat het ook altijd weer gezellig is, ook voor je sosiale contacten.

Maar wat Patrick (AR110AF) als auteur van het hoofdartikel in KB115, over de geschiedenis van de Alfa-fabrieken, graag wil weten: wat vinden jullie van een dergelijk verhaal? Hij wil niet vissen naar complimentjes maar is gewoon benieuwd of het artikel aansluit bij de interesse van de leden of dat het te ver afstaat van de eigen auto's.

Patrick is geïnteresseerd in alle commentaar dus ook als iemand helemaal niets heeft met het onderwerp. Was het beschrevene verrassend en hebben de foto's uit de oorlogsperiode nog wat verduidelijkt?

Als je het lastig vindt in het Engels te reageren, zet het dan gewoon in het Nerderlands neer, ik vertaal het dan wel weer.

Ook inhoudelijk commentaar of vragen zijn welkom.

It just fell on holy ground yesterday , so I didn't have time yet to read it . But it sure doesn't look like an article ...it's a book !!! ( Some of the Alfisti will call it Bible ) I'll let you know

dus ook wat patrick schreef, foto`s ok, het verleden van de alfa, waar wij nu profijt van hebben, en het is altijd leuk om te weten, en te zien.

I apologize I'm unable to write in Dutch, but indeed my articles need to be translated, and Hans is among the helpers... I just learned reading roughly in order to understand Ben Hendrickx articles some years ago.

I'm sociologist per profession, so the political/social sides of the history are quite familiar grounds for me, but I always fear that I too far from the "usual" car histories, that's why I wonder if you are interested...

On the other hand, I prefer dealing with obscure subjects rather than re-write what has already been done by others, hence the 316, trolleybus and industrial history. I happened to discover Het KB when still run by Ben Hendrickx, and what was making it exceptional was that you found in it wstories never published before, even in the specialized books. Now, in a marque's history, one cannot invent something new at each stroke...
