Wat is nu eigenlijk een typische italiaanse toeter?
Je weet wel zo'n hoge toon die je altijd in oude films hoort.
En waar koop je die dingen?
Het lastige is namelijk dat je van te voren niet weet hoe het klinkt.

Nóg typischer italiaans is, dat ie het niet doet!
On-topic: Pfff, geen idee. Wie gebruikt er überhaubt zijn claxon? Ik alleen bij de apk of per ongelijk, als ik een stuur (de)monteer of zo.

op mijn lancia beta coupe zat een lucht hoorn (origineel zo geleverd in italy
en die klonk goed luid

Dat van dat van te voren niet kunnen horen hoe die klinkt is natuurlijk op te lossen: zelfs bij Halfords verkopen ze ook accu's
FIAMM is typisch Italiaans, toch?

FIAMM heb ik nu ook. Dat zijn de originele.
Helaas is er 1 overleden. En nu klinkt het een beetje goedkoop.
Tja ik gebruik mijn toeter ook niet veel, maar ik ben van plan om van de zomer naar italie te gaan en daar schijnt het zo ongeveer een eerste levensbehoefte te zijn.

Wat je meestal hoort is een Fiam 2 toons met compressor. Is idd het typische geluid voor een italiaanse claxon.
(maar dat is eigenlijk het miep! miep! van een Fiat 500 ook).

Kom maar eens naar die van mijn Bertone luisteren....
gewoon de originele hoorns met hoog en laag overigens. Maar gewoon in heel goede staat denk ik.
En dan toch vond ik toen ik de auto net gekocht had een aansluiting voor een extra claxon... waarschijnlijk ooit van een héél druk Italiaans mannetje geweest

Ik heb me het ook al afgevraagd. Die van mn Bert is overigens goed luid maar in de films hoor je vaak iets à la Ferrari.

The famous Ferrari horn sound is made by a duotone airhorn setup. The airhorn manufacture FIAMM produced the Serie 2000 made for the Ferrari, early Lamborghini and some Bentley cars. The Serie 2000, which are two tin-pot trumpets that produce unique 'Ferrari' sound is not available and cannot be produced by any other plastic trumpet airhorn setup. It is an exclusive sound!
The last Ferrari's to get the famous FIAMM airhorns were the 355 and 456GT. New regulations by governments regarding horns on new cars have restricted airhorns as a horn option altogether on new exotics. The only way to obtain these airhorns are to buy them from salvage recycle yards or through new Ferrari parts, which are made completely plastic. As of 2007, the going price of a new Ferrari airhorn with plastic trumpets was around $130.00 USD.
Options/Alternatives
Hella, FIAMM and Stebel make two horns that sound very close to the Ferrari sound,(795Hz and 840Hz) only a trained musician's ear could really tell the difference. If you were to buy their 3 airhorn kit that is available the most major auto parts stores, you would set aside the longest horn and install the medium and short trumpets only. Voila! That is the closest you going to get to that Ferrari sound.(Stebel GPS - Stebel.com) Hella is the only manufacture that sells the correct medium and short airhorns together in one kit, with the correct sound.
WOLO horns - Poor quality, horrific sound for the price that best fits junk make in China. WOLO horns are not going to get you that Ferrari sound.

Ik was zelf ook al tot de conclusie gekomen om eventueel een luchthoorn te kopen en daar de lage toon van weg te laten.
Bij conrad verkopen ze een luchthoorn voor 27 euro met 580hz - 775hz - 800hz.
Afgaande op het voorgaande bericht dat ferrari een claxon heeft met 795 en 840hz, is het een kwestie van de lage toon hoorn weg te laten en klaar!
Hella heeft een 2 tonige set voor (adviesprijs) 34 euro:
Frequentiebereik: 795 Hz, 840 Hz, Geluidssterkte: 118 dB(A), Stroomverbruik: 240 W, hoeveelheid: set, Nominale stroom: 12 V, Keurteken: ECE

Ik kwam zonet deze reportage tegen van de eerste il giro nelle colline. Helemaal op het einde hoor je de Montreal claxoneren. Zitten deze op alle Montreals?
