Concours is natuurlijk niet echt bi maar de reden van het plaatsen van de link is dat in de komende Top Gear serie zeer waarschijnlijk, op de reeds bekende wijze, enkele oudere typen Alfa Romeo(Spider type 3 & de 75) worden gekocht en getest.

The attendence was cracking too - perhaps because the public were show starved last year with all the poor weather we had? Perhaps. I’m sure it had nothing to do with the fact that Top Gear were doing one of their adventure pieces and driving three Alfas to enter in the concours. Shock horror - some broke down and they kept bashing into each other…

Heeft te maken met één van de challenges dit seizoen:

Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond along with a film crew of around twenty joined our Paddock Club Members at Rockingham last week in three Alfa Romeo's to compete in one of their Top Gear "challenges". The idea was that the three of them attended a track day in cars they purchased for under �1000, each scoring one point for every car they overtook and loosing a point for each car that overtook them. The show will air sometime between mid June and the end of July.

Tamelijk lullig:

I’m sure when they edit it all together it’ll be very amusing, but it did make kind of a mockery of the concours - and people were quite disrespectful to the ‘proper’ cars entered - some of them sitting on very rare top condition motors to watch the filming. Were these people really car fans? I suspect not - a real petrol head wouldn’t sit on and risk damaging a car at a show. No, a lot of these people were celebrity chasers…

Alles voor de kijkcijfers? De heren hadden misschien beter weg kunnen blijven, ook al valt hen persoonlijk niets te verwijten. Verder lijkt het me een ontzettend leuke happening met erg veel mooi spul.

Was trouwens een leuk evenement het was meteen tevens de NAD van de Aroc.

Bijna de hele dag droog geweest, en dankzij TopGear stonden we ineens vooraan in de koffierij ipv nr 20
